Aluminium & Metal Casting, Engineered to Spec
Casting turns one tool into thousands of repeatable metal parts — and the right process decides cost and quality. P&A International engineers and manages a comprehensive range of standard and complex custom castings, with machining, plating and painting, that some shops find challenging to deliver.
As an engineering-led contract manufacturer founded as an engineering consultancy, we assign one dedicated engineer from casting design to free off-tool samples, then scale into volume through our vetted partner-factory network, where every supplier is ISO 9000 certified or better.

Casting processes we deliver

Die casting
High-pressure aluminium and zinc die casting for housings, brackets and thermal parts at volume — see our dedicated die casting page for detail.

Gravity & sand casting
Gravity (permanent-mould) and sand casting for larger, thicker or lower-volume parts where tooling cost must stay low.

Investment casting
Lost-wax investment casting for intricate, near-net-shape parts with fine detail and excellent surface finish.

Machining & finishing
CNC machining of cast parts plus plating, painting, anodising and assembly — delivered as a complete part or private-label product.
Engineering capability
- Process selection — die, gravity, investment and sand casting matched to volume and geometry
- Casting design, gating and tooling within the partner-factory network
- Aluminium and other metals; standard and complex custom shapes
- CNC machining of cast parts to critical tolerances
- Finishing — plating, painting, anodising (on suitable alloys), polishing
- Assembly, inserts, kitting and private-label programs
- DFM review to hit target cost while preserving quality
- Free off-tool samples with quality-assessment reports before any volume order

Why engineers & buyers choose PA
For design engineers
A true design partner — one dedicated engineer, casting-process selection, gating and tooling strategy, and machining designed in from the start. We take on complex custom shapes that some shops find challenging, and characterise the part before any volume tooling.
For purchasing
Low-risk scalability — free off-tool samples before mass production, tooling matched to your volume, target-cost DFM, a single point of contact, and a vetted ISO 9000+ partner network managed end-to-end by P&A.
3 easy steps to get started
Send us your part
Share a model or drawing, metal and volume — or just the application. One dedicated engineer reviews it and recommends the casting process.
Proposed design & quote
You receive a proposed casting and tooling strategy with indicative pricing — typically within 48 hours — to review and refine together.
Samples & production
Free off-tool samples with quality-assessment reports. On approval, your part is cast, machined, finished, inspected and shipped through our partner network.
Applications
Consumer electronics & appliances · LED lighting · automotive & e-mobility · industrial equipment · power & energy · thermal management · structural & housing parts.

Choosing the right casting process
A few early decisions shape every casting — sharing this detail lets us quote and prototype faster:
| Process | Die casting for thin-wall, high-volume parts; gravity for thicker/larger; investment for intricate near-net detail; sand for big or low-volume. |
| Volume | Higher volume justifies hardened die tooling; low volume favours sand or gravity to keep tooling cost down. |
| Wall & detail | Die casting suits thin uniform walls and fine features; sand suits heavy sections; investment captures fine detail. |
| Tolerances | Cast to general tolerances; reserve CNC for the few critical features — it controls cost. |
| Finish | Tell us cosmetic faces and the finish (plate / paint / anodise) up front so the process and alloy suit it. |
What to send us for a fast, accurate quote
The more of this you can share, the quicker we can return a proposed design and price:
- A model (STEP/IGES) or drawing with critical dimensions
- Metal / alloy preference if known
- Approximate size, wall thickness and weight
- Machining and finishing requirements
- Target cost and annual volume
- Any existing tool to transfer or a sample part
Working from a sample or an existing tool is fine — our engineer will recommend the best casting and machining route.
